NanoSpeed Diagnostics receives CE mark approval for Test4D® Vitamin D test kit

Edmonton, Alberta – NanoSpeed Diagnostics announced today that it has CE marked the company’s Test4D® vitamin D deficiency test kit, a point of care test to detect 25-OH vitamin D levels, for sales in Europe.  Standard vitamin D deficiency lab tests currently in use require weeks for test results, but Test4D™ is a new patented and unique point-of-care test that provides information on Vitamin D deficiency within 10 minutes. This test requires only a single drop of blood from the patient and costs 90% less when compared to other standard or conventional tests.

“The CE Mark for Test4D® is an important milestone,” said Dr. Seema Gupta, President of NanoSpeed Diagnostics, Inc.  “This will allow NanoSpeed to provide this test to professional end-users and patients in the European Union who would like convenient and reliable information on vitamin D levels.  We are finalizing our plans for commercial launch in Europe in 2014.”

Test4D® is not approved for commercial use in Canada or the United States and is limited by federal law to research or investigational use only.
